Student ministry is an important part of the ministry at Lexington Baptist Church. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus told His disciples, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." This command was not limited to vocational ministers or church leaders, but it is the call to every believer. Students are not the church of tomorrow, they are a vital part of the church of today! No one else can minister to their friends, teachers, co-workers or even families like they can. It is our desire to walk alongside them and teach them how to be fully devoted followers of Christ and equipped stewards of their ministry.
Currently our students meet twice a week as a group to fellowship, study God's word and pray together with other students (Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings). On Sunday nights, students take part in one of our intergenerational shepherd groups. Click here to see the current shepherd groups
Wednesday Nights - The Gathering
Students meet at 6:30pm to study God's word to understand what it means to follow God starting right where we are. We accomplish this by worshiping God through music and a mixture of textual and topical bible study. This is a great time for students to come learn about God, to bring their friends into a loving and truthful learning environment, and also have opportunities to serve their peers.
Sunday Morning - Dive Deeper
The goal of the Christian life is maturity and Hebrews 5:12-14 teaches us that in the process of maturity, we become ready for more in-depth study of God's word. Students meet at 9:30am for Bible study, focusing on what God's word has to say to us.
Sunday Evening – Shepherd Groups
There is nothing that substitutes for "life on life" learning. In striving to live life together in community, shepherd groups allow us to learn about God from one another in a more intimate setting, despite our age or stage of life. Come join us in the journey for discussion and fellowship at 4345 Eldora Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78413.
